NEED FOR SPEED? HIGH-SPEED DOZER CUTS GRADING TIME IN HALF

When it comes to grading work, no machine outperforms the John Deere 764 high-speed dozer.

“This rubber-tracked, articulated dozer is based on years of working with customers, and their interaction with our engineers,” says Scott Bayless, John Deere product consultant for the high-speed dozer.

The 764 dozer combines the functionality of a crawler, loader, and motor grader in one piece of equipment to help you get the job done more efficiently. Some of the features that set the John Deere 764 dozer apart include the quad rubber tracks, PowerTech™ Plus engine, and 132-inch six-way dozer blade.

Unlike dozers with traditional steel tracks, the rubber tracks on the John Deere 764 dozer allow for smooth operation on any surface. The 764 can go from hard surfaces to wet sand unassisted and the rubber tracks greatly reduce disturbances on finished grading.

For pushing and pulling, the PowerTech™ Plus 6.8L engine, Hydrostatic drive train, hydraulics, and power management system make hard work look easy. Operators can easily set the desired speed and the 764 will self-adjust for optimal efficiency.

Use a grade-control system of your choice or select the grade-control ready option. The pivot-shaft track mounted frame design and rear oscillation in combination with the closed-cell blade design offer superior grading precision with fewer passes at greater speed.

Let’s take a look at the rest of the John Deere 764 specs:

  • Net Peak Power – 157 kW (210 hp)
  • Blade Height – 991 mm (3 ft. 3 in.)
  • Track Width – 610 mm (24 in.)
  • Ground Pressure – 46.1 kPa (6.68 psi)
  • Ground Clearance – 333 mm (13.1 in.)
  • Operating Weight – 15,422 kg (34,000 lbs.)

If you are in the business of road building or large site development, the 764 is the perfect choice and can replace multiple pieces of underused machinery.
